Family doctor

The Law on Health Insurance defines the right to choose a doctor in the health center in the area of the parent branch office or at the place of residence. The doctor is selected from the field of general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology or dentistry. All adult citizens have the right to choose a doctor of medicine, or a specialist in general medicine, that is, a specialist in occupational medicine. Children under the age of 18 have the right to choose a pediatric specialist. Women of age older than 15 years can also choose a doctor of gynecology. Persons younger than 18 or older over 65 years can also choose a dental doctor.

The chosen doctor takes care of all segments of the patient’s health. The chosen doctor is familiar with the previous health condition and risk factors for the patient’s health, with his way of life, good and bad habits.
